The full meaning of NSI is National Security Intelligence. In Bengali, it’s called “Jātīẏa nirāpattā gōẏēndā saṅghastha (জাতীয় নিরাপত্তা গোয়েন্দা সংস্থা)”. The NSI’s headquarters is in 1 Segunbagicha, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It’s an important Institute for the security of Bangladesh and its people. NSI is the leading agency of the Government of Bangladesh in the areas of Internal Security, Terrorism, Counter Intelligence, and Foreign Intelligence. It’s the largest of the other intelligence agencies in Bangladesh such as the Directorate General of Defense Intelligence, Special Branch of Police, Army Intelligence, and Naval Intelligence. Apart from Bangladesh, the company has offices in different countries of the world. Besides, there are local units in the districts of Bangladesh under the leadership of the Joint Director.
