Surah Qalam PDF

This Surah was revealed at a time when the disbelievers were actively plotting against the Messenger of Allah and trying to discredit him. In this Surah, Allah Almighty responds to their plots and exposes their true intentions. He also warns them of the consequences of their actions. Surah Qalam begins with a reference to the pen and the inkpot. This is significant because it is through the pen that Allah reveals His words to His Prophets. It is also through the pen that we humans record our own words.

The second verse goes on to say: “You are not, [O Muhammad], by the favor of your Lord, a madman.” This verse is addressed to the Prophet Muhammad, and it reassures him that he is not insane despite the challenges he faces.
