Of course, Harry knows that magic during the holidays is strictly forbidden, and yet he transports his terrible aunt to the ceiling with a floating spell. The consequence is usually a school reference! Not so with Harry; on the contrary, it is treated as a raw egg.
Twelve years ago, when Harry Potter’s arch-nemesis Lord Voldemort was defeated, a man named Sirius Black was placed in Azkaban for the murder of thirteen people with a single curse. But now he has escaped, something that has never been heard of before, and the Ministry of Magic has reason to believe he is headed straight for Hogwarts. While he was still in Azkaban, the guards heard Black murmuring in his sleep: “He’s at Hogwarts… he’s at Hogwarts…”
But is there a connection between our young hero and this horrible mass murderer?
Harry is beginning his third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and is in danger from the start. Even within the school’s surrounding walls and Dumbledore’s presence, the Headmaster, Harry, is unsafe, for there may well be a traitor amongst them. Like the others, this year was going to be a rough one for the famous Harry Potter and those close to him.
Is it something to do with the fact that a feared criminal has invaded the school and targets Harry? With his friends Ron and Hermione, Harry tries to unravel a web of betrayal, revenge, cowardice, and slander, and in the process, encounters things that almost make him doubt his mind.
